Philanthropies
Local- Multiple Sclerosis
Our local philanthropy is Multiple Sclerosis, a disabling disease that attacks the body's central nervous system. Symptoms of this disease can be as mild as numbness in the limbs, and as severe as paralysis or loss of vision.
In the U.S., there are approximately 400,000 people currently living with MS. Every week, 200 more people are diagnosed.
Every fall, we hold Frosty 5K and MS Week on The Commons as a way to raise funds and help support MS researchers in finding a cure for this disease.
National-Teach for America
Our national philanthropy is Teach for America, the national organization that trains volunteers to teach children attending schools in low-income communities.
Teach for America's mission is to eliminate educational inequity within these schools through the guidance and instruction of its volunteers.
Each year, we donate money and school supplies to the organization.
